 School of Humanities comment: 
 The ADD/DROP POLICY for ALL courses in the SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES is that ADDS and DROPS must be effected PRIOR to the END of the SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (October 8, 2004).

 NOTE: Students wishing to enroll in Vietnamese language classes for the first time in fall 2004 must take the placement test. Testing for continuing students will be offered Wednesday, May 26, 2004. New F'04 students should consult the testing booklet sent in May for test dates. Contact the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu or call (949)824-6207 or visit their web site at http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu for details about registration. Bring the test results with you to the Faculty Oral Interview on May 27, 2004, between 10 am and 12 noon in HIB 468 or to the Faculty Oral Interview on September 23, 2004 between 10 am and 12 noon in HIB 468. Placement information and authorization codes will be issued during the interview. If you are unable to come during the times scheduled for the Oral Interview, please contact Tri Tran at 949-824-4162 or at tritran@uci.edu in order to set up an appointment for an interview.

 NOTE: Students registered in any section of Vietnamese 1A or 2A MUST ATTEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meeting of the course or will be required to drop the class with a drop card. 
 NOTE: Students who wish to continue to the next level of Vietnamese, i.e. 2A or 3A should contact their instructor for approval. Authorization codes will be distributed in class beginning the week of May 17, 2004. Enrollment preference will be given to students who complete 1C or 2C in spring 2004.
