 School of Humanities comment: 
 The ADD/DROP POLICY for ALL courses in the SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES is that ADDS and DROPS must be effected PRIOR to the END of the SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (October 8, 2004).

 Korean department comments: 
 Note: Continuing students intending to enroll in a Korean language class for the first time in fall 2004, must take a placement test. Testing will be offered Tuesday, May 25, 2004. Students may register with the Testing Office through their web site, http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu . For additional information, contact the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu or call 949-824-6207. Bring the test result with you to the Faculty Oral Interview offered June 7-8, 2004, between 11:00 a.m. and 12:50 p.m., in HIB 448. Placement information and authorization codes will be issued during the interview. 
 Note: Incoming freshmen and transfer students to UCI intending to enroll in a Korean language class in fall 2004, may access the Testing Office through their web site, http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu, or refer to the Testing Booklet you received for details about registration and dates of placement tests. For additional information, please E-mail the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu, or call 949-824-6207. The Faculty Oral Interview for incoming students will be September 22-23, 2004, between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, in HIB 448.

 Note: Students registered in any section of Korean 1A, 2A, or 3A MUST ATTEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meeting of the course. Any student who does not meet this condition will be required to drop the class with a drop card. 
 Note: All students intending to continue in Korean to the next level (2A or 3A), should contact their present instructor for approval. Authorization codes will be distributed in class beginning the week of May 24, 2004. Enrollment preference will be given to students who complete 1C or 2C in spring 2004.
