 School of Humanities comments: 
 The ADD/DROP POLICY for ALL courses in the SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES is that ADDS and DROPS must be effected PRIOR to the END of the SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (January 21, 2005).

  English and Comparative Literature
 English and Comparative Literature department comments: 
 NOTE: Satisfaction of the UC Entry-Level Writing Requirement (SUBJECT A) is prerequisite to ALL ENGLISH, COMPARATIVE LITERATURE, LITERARY JOURNALISM, and WRITING COURSES except COMP LIT 8, ENGLISH 6, 7, 8, WRITING 37, WRITING 39A, and WRITING 39A/PLUS. 
 NOTE: Students registered in any course offered by the department of English and Comparative Literature are expected to attend both the FIRST and SECOND CLASS MEETINGS of the course or they may be required to drop the course with a drop card. 
 Course Codes 21007 - 21008:
 
 NOTE: The required prerequisite for Lit Jrn 20 (Lec A & B) is completion of the lower-division writing requirement. An active prerequisite check is in place for this course. 
 NOTE: Lit Jrn 20, Lec A&B, are open to Literary Journalism majors only until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2004 when the courses will open to any interested student (space permitting).
