 School of Humanities comments: 
 The ADD/DROP POLICY for ALL courses in the SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES is that ADDS and DROPS must be effected PRIOR to the END of the SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (April 15, 2005.) 
 Note: A lab fee may be assessed for those courses using the Humanities computer labs for class sessions. 
 NOTE: Enrollment in lecture and discussion, lecture and studio, lecture and lab, lecture and studio and discussion, etc. is required for all courses offered by the School of Humanities, as well as any courses cross-listed with a Humanities offering. 
 NOTE: For all non-EAD (electronic add/drop) courses in the School of Humanities, the waitlist for each course is active through the end of the WebReg adjustment period only (March 30, 2005 at 5:00 p.m.). Once instruction begins (April 4, 2005), all course adds and drops are subject to the policy of each instructor. 
 NOTE: Adds, drops and grade/unit changes (all non-EAD courses only) processed via the add/drop/change card require the signature of the instructor. The only exception to this policy is for Humanities Core (course codes 29000-29138). All enrollment changes for Humanities Core are signed in their departmental office, HIB 185.

 Vietnamese department comment: 
 NOTE: Students wishing to enroll in a Vietnamese language class for the first time in spring 2005 must take a placement test. Contact the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu or call (949)824-6207 or visit the web site at http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu/ for details about registration and date of placement tests. The Vietnamese Placement test will be given Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Bring the test results with you to the Faculty Oral Interview on Wednesday, March 2 between 11am and 12 noon in HIB 468. Placement information and authorization code to register will be issued during the interview. If you are unable to come during the time scheduled for the Oral Interview, please contact Tri Tran at 824-4162 or at tritran@uci.edu in order to set up an appointment for an interview. 
 Vietmse course numbers 1 - 3:
 
 NOTE: Students registered in any section of Vietnamese 1C or 2C MUST ATTEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meeting of the course or will be required to drop the class with a drop card. 
 NOTE: Students who wish to continue to the next level of Vietnamese, i.e. 1C or 2C should contact their instructor for approval. Authorization codes will be distributed in class beginning the week of March 7, 2005. Enrollment preference will be given to students who complete 1B or2B in Winter 2005.
