School of Humanities
 School of Humanities comments: 
 THE ADD/DROP POLICY FOR ALL COURSES IN THE SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES IS THAT ADDS AND DROPS MUST BE EFFECTED PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SECOND WEEK OF CLASSES (APRIL 14, 2006). 
 A lab fee may be assessed for those courses using the Humanities computer labs for class sessions. 
 Enrollment in lecture and discussion, lecture and studio, lecture and lab, lecture and studio and discussion, etc. is required for all courses offered by the School of Humanities, as well as any courses cross-listed with a Humanities offering. 
 For all non-EAD (electronic add/drop) courses in the School of Humanities, the waitlist for each course is DEACTIVATED at the end of the WebReg adjustment period (March 29, 2006 at 5:00 p.m.). If you have not been admitted to the class via the wait list by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, you are no longer on any wait list for any of the non-EAD courses in Humanities. Once instruction begins (April 3, 2006), all adds and drops are subject to the policy of each instructor. 
 Adds, drops and grade/unit changes (all non-EAD courses only) processed within the first two weeks of courses via the add/drop/change card require the signature of the instructor. The only exception to this policy is for Humanities Core (course codes 29000-29112). All enrollment changes for Humanities Core are signed in their departmental office, HIB 185. 
  Korean
 Korean department comment: 
 A student enrolled in any section of Korean 1C, 2C, or 3C MUST attend the FIRST AND SECOND class meetings of the course or will be required to drop the course with a drop card. 
 Korean course numbers 1 - 3:
 
 Students wanting to enroll in a Korean language class for the first time in spring 2006, must take the Korean placement test on Friday, March 2 or Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Bring the test result with you to the Faculty Oral Interview offered March 3 (11-noon), March 6 and 16 (9-9:50 a.m. and 11-noon) and March 17 (11-noon), 2006 in HIB 448. Placement information and authorization codes will be issued during the interview. Contact the Testing Office at testoff@uci.edu or call 949-824-6207 or visit their Web site at http://www.testingoffice.uci.edu/ for details about registration.   Korean   1C     FUNDAMENTALS
 
    Subject to approval of their Korean 1B instructor, continuing students who wish to enroll in Korean 1C in spring 2006 will be issued an authorization code in class beginning the week of March 6, 2006. Enrollment preference will be given to students who are completing Korean 1B in winter 2006.
