LAB FEE POLICY

A lab fee may be assessed for those courses using the Humanities computer labs for class sessions.

Enrollment in lecture and discussion, lecture and studio, lecture and lab, lecture and studio and discussion, etc. is required for all courses offered by the School of Humanities, as well as any courses cross-listed with a Humanities offering.

Film and Media Studies

Film and Media Studies department comments:

Film viewing takes place in the Studio sections. Attendance is mandatory. Enrollment in lecture and studio, or lecture and studio and discussion, where offered, is required for all Film & Media Studies courses.

There is a mandatory non-refundable lab fee of $20.00 for all Film & Media Studies courses, including cross-listed and concurrently scheduled courses. Upon enrollment, lab fees are posted automatically to a student's ZOT Account. Students dropping before the second week drop deadline (January 14, 2011) may request a lab fee cancellation or refund in writing by contacting the Film & Media Studies Lab Fee Administrator, Eva Yonas in HG 2012. No cancellation or refund will be made for an unpaid Lab Fee that goes to a collection agency.

Students enrolled in FLM&MDA 111 or 120B may use University owned equipment and are financially responsible for the University equipment on loan to them. Fines will be imposed for late return of equipment on loan.

If a class has a "B" or "X" restriction, contact the Eva Yonas in HG 2012 or at eyonas@uci.edu to obtain a code to add, drop, or change the grading option of the class.
