Writing courses will have a "B" or "X" restriction starting on the first day of instruction and will require an authorization code to enroll.

Waitlists for 39A, 39AP, 39B, 39C, and 139W will be deactivated on March 24, 2011 at 3:00p.m., and waitlists for Writing 30, 31, 91, and 101W will be deactivated on the first day of instruction, March 28, 2011. After obtaining an authorization code to enroll, you should remove yourself from the waitlist. If you remain on the waitlist after it has been deactivated, you may have enrollment issues.

ADD/DROP Policy during the FIRST and SECOND week of Instruction for Composition Courses

Students who are permitted to add or drop a Writing Course must obtain an authorization code from the instructor of the section. Students WILL NOT be authorized to add a Writing Course after April 1, 2011.

After the second week of the term students will no longer be permitted to drop except through petition.

Students enrolled in Entry-Level and Lower-Division Writing courses are REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS MEETING. Enrolled students who do not show up on the first day WILL BE DROPPED from the instructor's roll and their spot will be given away. These students will still be required to formally drop the course.

If a Writing course has a "B" or "X" restriction, contact the Instructor to obtain a code to add, drop, or change the grading option of the class.
