TO ENROLL IN A VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE CLASS:

Students wishing to enroll in Vietnamese language classes for the first time in Fall 2012 must take the placement test. Testing for continuing students will be offered on the following dates: 4/02/12, 4/09/12 and 05/23/12.

For all placement-related questions, including regarding enrollment in Vietnamese 1A, please consult the Humanities Language Learning Program website at http://www.humanities.uci.edu/hllp/.

Contact the Testing Center at testcenter@uci.edu, at (949) 824-6207, or visit their Web site at http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu/ for placement test dates and details on registering for a test.

VIETMSE 1A is for students with little or no exposure to Vietnamese.

New F12 students should consult the Testing Center website at http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu for testing dates and details about test registration. Bring the test results with you to the Faculty Oral Interview in 550 Murray Krieger Hall on Friday, May 25, 2012, between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Placement information and authorization codes will be issued during the oral interview. If you are unable to come during the times scheduled for the Oral Interview, please contact Tri C. Tran at tritran@uci.edu in order to set up an appointment.

Continuing students who wish to enroll in Vietnamese 2A in Fall 2012 will be issued an authorization code in class. Enrollment preference will be given to those students who successfully complete Vietnamese 1C or 2C in Spring 2012.

Students registered in any section of Vietnamese 1A or 2A MUST ATTEND THE FIRST and SECOND class meeting of the course or will be required to drop the class.
