† First-year and transfer Medical students (matriculating prior to September 24, 2023) will pay a prorated GSHIP premium of $763.19 in addition to the fall 2023 premium of $1,839.62 for total fall GSHIP fees of $2,602.81. The $763.19 prorated GSHIP includes the health insurance premium ($739.75), broker's fee ($0.42) and SHC admin. fee ($23.02). Returning students not enrolled in the MD program during the previous spring will pay a prorated GSHIP premium of $635.05 for coverage from 8/14/23 through 9/24/23 in addition to the fall 2023 GSHIP premium of $1,839.62 for a total fall 2023 premium of $2,474.67; the $635.05 prorated GSHIP includes health insurance premium of $614.02, broker's fee of $0.32 and SHC admin. fee of $20.71. Medical students returning from a leave of absence (LOA) and who will be re-enrolling in May 2023 will pay a prorated GSHIP premium of $1,717.18 (including health insurance premium of $1,664.45, broker fee of $0.95 and SHC admin. fee of $51.78 for coverage from 5/22/23 through 9/24/23. LOA students will pay the $1,717.18 prorated premium in addition to to the fall 2023 GSHIP premium of $1,839.62. First-year PRIME LC students who will be enrolling in June 2023 will pay a prorated GSHIP premium of $1,430.98 in addition to the fall premium of $1,839.62. The $1,430.98 prorated GSHIP includes health insurance premium of $1,387.04, broker's fee of $0.79 and SHC admin. fee of $43.15. First-year PRIME LEAD ABC students who will be enrolling in July 2023 will pay a prorated GSHIP premium of $1,035.76 in addition to the fall premium of $1,839.62. The $1,035.76 prorated GSHIP includes health insurance premium of $1,003.95, broker's fee of $0.57 and SHC admin fee of $31.24.

** The UC Graduate and Professional Council fee is a non-mandatory fee that graduate students are assessed
during the fall, winter and spring terms to support the systemwide UC Student Association. Students may elect to
opt-out and once the opt-out is elected students will not be charged the fee unless they change their election for a
later term.
